FAQs

We offer a wide range of sealant products including acetic cure, neutral cure, silicone, and more. Our product range covers general sealing, glazing, construction joints, roofing, and gutters. We have sealants ideal for use on various substrates like masonry, plastic, glass, and non-porous surfaces.

For wet areas like bathrooms and showers, we recommend using a high-quality, mold-resistant silicone sealant. Silicone sealants provide a superior waterproof seal and can accommodate joint movement to prevent cracks and leaks.

Most sealants are easy to apply using a caulking gun. Simply cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle, load the cartridge into the gun, and apply the sealant in a continuous bead. Allow the sealant to cure as per the instructions, usually within 24-48 hours.

Neutral cure silicones are often preferred for indoor applications as they have minimal odor and are less likely to cause substrate staining. Acetic cure silicones release acetic acid during curing, making them more suitable for outdoor use or on non-porous surfaces.

Yes, silicone sealants are perfect for sealing around windows and doors. Glass silicone and white silicone are commonly used for glazing and providing a flexible, waterproof seal that can accommodate joint movement.

Removing old, cracked silicone can be challenging. We offer professional silicone removal and replacement services to quickly and effectively remove the old sealant and apply a fresh, high-quality seal.

At Sealantworx, we are a premier NZ company specializing in high-quality sealant technology. Our sealants are engineered to provide superior waterproof seals, resistance to mold and mildew, and excellent joint movement capability for long-lasting performance.
